Yosef Desta - Indianapolis Ethiopian Evangelical Church Plant

Indianapolis Ethiopian Evangelical Church.  Four months ago, Yosef and Bethlehem Desta came to Indianapolis after Yosef finished his MDiv at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte NC.  They came without contacts or financial support, but instead, through prayer and fasting, a conviction that God was calling them to plant a church for the 2500 to 4000 Ethiopians living here.  Since then Yosef has found a church to meet in, launched a congregation which worships on Sunday afternoon, has Bible study on Wednesday night and prayer time on Friday evenings.  Yosef and Bethlehem have become members at Redeemer Presbyterian Church (Indianapolis), and Yosef has started the ordination process in the PCA. While the Indianapolis Church Planting Partnership, churches and individuals are assisting Yosef and the worldly needs of this church plant are huge, God is building His church, and we are blessed to see His power at work.

What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building. 1 Cor.3;5-9
