Mission and Vision of Trinity Church

Why does Trinity Church exist?  Why are we here?  Our Mission, our calling is in obedience to Christ's Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8).

“Our Mission is to bring glory to God by reaching the people of greater Indianapolis and the world with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Trinity Church is called to glorify and enjoy God in personal and corporate worship, and to proclaim the Gospel of the crucified and resurrected Christ to our community and to the ends of the earth.

Stated another way, our mission is "To know Christ and to make Him known!"

Our Vision for Trinity is to be a church adhering to the following core values:

·         Faithful to the Scriptures (2 Tim 3:16-17)
·         Zealous for the glory of God (Rom 11:36, Col 3:17)
·         Enthusiastic God-centered worship (Psa 100)
·         Passionate about sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Rom 1:16, Act 4:12)
·         Equipping and encouraging disciples for ministry (Eph 4:11-12)
·         Vibrant small groups that gather as well as scatter (Act 2:46-47)
·         Grace filled church community loving one another (Col 3:12-15)

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.” (2Tim 3:16-17)

“For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.” (Rom 11:36)
“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Col 3:17)

“Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” (Psalm 100:1-5)

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” (Rom 1:16)
“And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Act 4:12)
“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.” (Eph 4:11-12)

“And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” (Act 2:46-47)

“Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.” (Col 3:12-15)
